The wheel alignment devices both CCD or more recent 3D, have the necessity to apply sensors/targets to the wheels through clamps, clamping on rims or tires.

This is a perfect example of mechatronics: the sensor/target, to measure angles electronically, is assembled on a mechanical clamp. The clamp is extremely important for an accurate reading.

All mechanical working, assembling operations and dimensional checks are made internally, through advanced machinery. In particular we check the squareness between the clamp support plane and the hub, to which the sensor/target is assembled.
